Hello!

My name is Tiago Mendes and I'm an Aveiro-based frontend developer. As a frontend developer, my starting point is allways a blank web page, so I've decided to make a web CV instead of the usual paper CV.

I completed the master's in design and multimedia at the University of Coimbra in 2016. My master's thesis consisted in the development of a co-creative (cooperative creativity between man and machine) web application , named Co-PoeTryMe, that allow users to interact with an API developed by my advisor.

2011 - 2016

After that, I worked in Lisbon, where I spent about a year, in a company called Affinity. It was a consulting company, whose objective was to place consultants in companies that requested their services, however they had a small development team, of which I was part of while I was there, who worked on the development of software for effective management of consultants, called Keywork.

2017 - 2018

Then I returned to Aveiro, where I became part of the Glove It development team. During the time I was there, I was involved in several projects, such as the development of the Mealheiro Digital landing page, restyling and development of new features in the Global Management Challange web application, and the development of the new ViMúsica website, which resells music for television or cinematographic productions.

2018 - 2019

Then, I teamed up with a fellow designer, and we created Forty Degrees, a digital marketing and web platform development company. As a sole developer, I made projects like FarmIN-Trainings, which consisted of the development of a website for presentation and indexing of courses in the area of agriculture and a management platform for the content presented (backoffice), the FP-A, which consisted of the development of a web page and backoffice for managing architectural projects and respective representation, Travocar, which consisted in the development of a webapp for managing companies' machine parks.

Career

My main skills are as frontend developer and I usually work side-by-side with a backend-developer and a designer. However, in some projects, such as Travocar, FarmIn-Trainings, FPA, etc, I worked as a Fullstack Developer. I am familiarized with prototyping tools such as inVision, Zeplin or Figma and also with Adobe's tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
